National Mosque / Masjid Negara is one of the largest mosques in Asia . Become enter of Islam in Malaysia and the most important religious building. Build at year 1963 and was o pened on 27 Aug 1965 after three years of construction.
This modern looking building where has been minor reconstructed at 2005, consists of a prayer hall, mausoleum, library, and offices. It has a 75m minaret and a central roof that at first glance appears to be a partially unfolded umbrella. Its prayer hall, designed in the shape of an eighteen-pointed star to represent the 13 states of Malaysia and the five central Pillars of Islam.
Visitors are advised to observe the rules of dressing and decorum, which are listed at the entrance. |
