 Zoo Negara is the first national zoo in Malaysia . It was opened in 1963. Until now, the Zoo is owned and operated by the Malaysian Zoological Society.

Zoo Negara has a collection of a wide range of animals from all over the world. Besides showcasing the animals, the Zoo emphasised on these four main areas – Conservation, Education, Research and Recreation. Zoo Negara is a valuable resource for all visitors from within Malaysia and overseas. Thus we at Zoo Negara always strive to make your visit as meaningful as possible.
